Welcome to the Gravesend & Northfleet Twins Club web site. Gravesend & Northfleet Twins club re-opened in July 2005, by Melanie & Mandy, due to the arrival of their own twins & the increase in multiple births in the area. The club is now run by Julie who has 1 year old twins of her own. Our Twins Club provides a friendly environment for our members. Come along for a chat with other parents, whilst relaxing with a tea or coffee. Many good friendships have been made over the last 4 years between both parents & children alike. We are open weekly on Wednesdays 12.30pm - 2.30pm at Little Gems Childrens Centre, Northfleet. Anyone who cares for multiples (including dad's) & their families are welcome. Expectant parents of multiples are also encouraged to join us. As we know too well, there are all sorts of questions you need to ask & who better to get advice from than people who already have multiples. (I'm sure we all have stories to tell!) Parents of single babies/toddlers are also welcome. Each week a range of toys & activities are set out, which are suitable for pre-school children. (Older sibling are welcome in school holidays!) Occasionaly we have an activity table with things like playdough, painting etc. although younger children will require your supervision. We currently print a quarterly newsletter & through this & the weekly meetings we aim to provide advice to parents/carers of multiples. From the day you discover that you have a mulitple pregnancy, come here to share your worries & funnies with other people who know what you are going through. There is also a section for items wanted & for sale. This is new so it will take a while to build up. Your input will help build this into a great forum. You can now find us on facebook, where we keep our members up to date with events & social gatherings. This is also another place to share your experiences & photos of your little ones
At our committee meetings we discuss fundraising ideas, among other topics. It is vital to raise funds to continue with making special events, such as Christmas parties, enjoyable & exciting for your children. At our parties, (if funds allow) we hire an entertainer & provide food & presents, which of course all the children love. Our Committee meetings take place 4 times a year & it is a good excuse for a social evening out. We also always welcome any ideas, or offers of help throughout the year. Buy.at is a fundraising solutions provider that offers a unique network of several thousand fundraising webshops. Many big name stores are available e.g Adams Kids, Early Learning, M&S & John Lewis to name but a few. This is all secure & they pay Gravesend & Northfleet Twins Club a monthly commission on all transactions. 2010 - Dates for your diary Wednesday 13th January - 1st Meeting at Little Gems Childrens Centre Thursday 28th January - Mums night out @ NC Rev, 8pm We regularly arrange Mums Nights Out(usually at NC Rev, Gravesend) These are great fun!!!!

& a reduced weekly charge of 50p. We intend to add to these benefits as opportunities
arise. Please note, these charges are to cover the cost of refreshments & any supplies we need. We are not a profit making organisation & all money taken will be used for the club.
